The Flumbi Method
learning a little every day, without fear of mistakes.

“In 15 minutes a day, Flumbi teaches your child what they need to learn, at the pace they need, without making them feel bad about mistakes.”

The Flumbi Loop: seven short stops, every day.

Every day, Flumbi finds your child where they are, reminds them of yesterday, shows them something new, does it with them and lets them try on their own. Just like a good teacher would, but at their pace.

Watch Together You

  1. Finding your spot

    “Let's see where you start!”

A short game places them at their real level, not the one for their age.

  2. Remember this?

“Before something new… remember this one?”

It starts by recalling something from a few days ago: remembering is what helps most to make it stick.

  3. Watch me do it

    “Watch me. First…, then…”

When something is new, Flumbi shows it step by step, with an example and a picture.

  4. Now together

    “I'll start and you finish.”

They solve it as a team, and Flumbi lets go little by little.

  5. Your turn!

“Your turn. If you get stuck, I'm here.”

They practice on their own, at their level, with a hint when they need one and no penalty when they miss.

  6. How did you figure it out?

“Did you draw it, count it, know it or try it?”

They think about how they thought. It's never scored: it's about learning how to learn.

  7. See you tomorrow

“This comes back in a few days. That's how it sticks!”

What they learned comes back days later, right when it would start to fade.

  8. And tomorrow, another loop

A miss today is the seed of knowing it tomorrow.

The full Loop is coming to the app one stop at a time.

What the method always takes care of.

Six simple ideas behind every activity.

  • A mistake is an “Almost!”

A miss shows in amber, never in red, and comes with a hint that teaches the strategy. A mistake never takes away what they've already earned.

  • Practice and review on the right days

What they learn comes back a few days later, right when they would start to forget it. That's how it sticks.

  • Every child at their level

If they're ahead, it goes up; if something is hard, it steps down without frustration. Stepping down is never shown as a loss.

  • Aligned with what schools ask for

Topics are aligned with the Basic Learning Rights (DBA) of Colombia's Ministry of National Education.

  • Safe by design

No chat and no strangers. The AI never knows who your child is: not their name, nickname or age. And every activity is checked before it reaches them.

  • Short and fun

About 15 minutes with a clear end. No lives to lose, no leaderboards and no in-app purchases.

Four subjects, one method.

For kids ages 5 to 11. Each subject has its own character and its own way of teaching, and they all follow the same loop. The app is in Spanish: reading is taught in Spanish, and English as a second language.

  • Pico, the reading kingfisher

    Reading

Sound it, blend it, read it, get it.

From letter sounds to reading a story and understanding it, in Spanish.

    With Pico

  • Tilo, the math turtle

    Math

See it, draw it, work it out.

Understanding numbers with pictures before doing the sum.

    With Tilo

  • Mimo, the English butterfly

    English

Hear it, tap it, say it.

Listening and understanding first, with audio for every word and phrase.

    With Mimo

  • Flumbi the otter

    Logic

    Think faster and better.

Patterns, clues and the “why?”. Today its puzzles live inside math.

Coming soon as its own subject

Built on what works.

The Flumbi Method is designed with principles that research has backed for years. Here are some of them, with their public sources.

These principles have many studies behind them. We'll measure Flumbi's own results with families and schools, and share them once we have them.

The same method at home and in class.

With Flumbi Educators, the teacher assigns courses on the topic the class is covering and every child practices at their level with the same Loop. She sees who is moving ahead and which mistake keeps coming up in the group.

What families ask about the method.

What is the Flumbi Method?

It's how Flumbi teaches: a short loop every day that finds your child at their level, reminds them of what they've already seen, shows them something new, practices it with them and lets them try on their own, with no penalty for mistakes.

How much time a day does it take?

About 15 minutes. The daily goal is short and has a clear end: consistency beats marathons.

What if my child is ahead, or finds something hard?

Flumbi adjusts to their real level, not their age. If they're ahead, it goes up; if something is hard, it steps down and gives a hint that teaches how to think it through.

Does it help with what they learn at school?

Yes. Topics are aligned with the Basic Learning Rights (DBA) of Colombia's Ministry of National Education, and with Flumbi Educators teachers use the same method in class. Everything for schools is at flumbi.com/en/educators.

One loop today.
Another tomorrow.
